Clubs and Events

Both nonprofit and for profit running clubs, training programs and events can join the RRCA through the Club/Event Membership category. Membership runs on the calendar year. Nonprofit clubs/events are those defined as having IRS 501(c)3 or (c)4 nonprofit exemption status and are governed by a volunteer board of directors. To determine if you are a club or event please contact Eve Mills at 703.525.3890 or email her at before completing the paperwork. For profit clubs/events are those that are owned or organized as a sole proprietor, an LLC, a joint partnership, or a corporation. To join the RRCA for the remainder of 2009, please contact Eve Mills at or 703.525.3890 to obtain the 2009 membership forms for your organization. There is NO prorating of dues for renewing members for 2009.

Important Changes to the Road Runners Club of America 2010 Membership Process

Renewal season is here and in order to improve our service to you, we have made some changes to our membership application and renewal process. Starting in mid-November, renewing members, as well as new members, will apply for RRCA membership and insurance coverage through an automated, on-line form. This process will expedite the application process and allow us to service your club more efficiently. It will also provide more security to members who choose to pay by credit card.

The automated form will be available on our website starting in mid-November, and we would prefer that you use the on-line form to renew your 2010 membership. However, some members hold races in early January and may need to receive their Certificate of Insurance earlier than others in order to secure permits for January races. These clubs should complete the .paper. form below and mail it to the RRCA National Office with a check. If you do not have events planned for early January requiring proof of insurance coverage, please wait to renew your membership until our online system is live. All members will receive an email announcing the opening of the online system.

To simplify the membership process, we have consolidated the four membership categories into two membership categories, Club Members and Event Members. Please choose the form, either Club or Event, that corresponds to your organization, then choose the rates, either nonprofit or for-profit, depending how your club is classified for tax purposes.

Club Members are required to submit a Membership Roster to the RRCA National Office to be used to verify membership numbers and to send our quarterly magazine, Club Running. Please use the Membership Roster format supplied: Membership Roster

We value your patronage and thank you for your patience while we complete our membership automation project.

RRCA Membership and insurance rates have NOT increased for 2010. See the membership forms below for dues and insurance rates.
